In this series of drawings I expanded on my ideas of animals and roadkill.

I took did two line walks, where I followed lines with my eye while walking outside. I walked wherever my eye lead me. Along the way I saw many birds by a pond and was interested in their patterns and wings. I broke some more of my rule by shaping the paper to the subject, instead of drawing on a square cut sheet. Also I only used charcoal, a material that I had rarely used before then.

The fossil fish was a culmination of several things. These included the naturally occurring cracks and patterns that I had seen during my second line walk. I was very drawn towards these I tried to recreate them with clay and charcoal.
